Stardock Central Problems

Hello everyone,

Hoping someone can help me figure this out. I recently downloaded Stardock and I have an account, and I have purchased both GCII and DA. I succesfully downloaded GCII after about a day (I have dial-up). However, DA would not install after several tries and now Stardock Central will not display any games at all! I have not been able to update my games before, and I am at ends as to what to do now. I hope this is something that is common and can be fixed. I can try to supply any information that might help the situation.

Thank you

If it's showing *nothing at all* then it probably just means it was unable to connect to the server or log in. All seems to be up now though, so give it a try.

What exact issue were you having with DA installation? Did it get to 100% downloading and then start over, or something else?

Well, it was just taking a long time to download of course, and I would just leave it on during the day. When I would come home the computer had restarted and there was no error messages or anything. That happened a few times, and when I decided I was just going to try it again and keep an eye on it, Stardock won't show the games. When I get on there is an error that says "Error 1002: Stardock Central has successfully logged in to the server and validated you existing Stardock.net account, but there does not appear to be any product redistrations associated with this record." But does that mean that demos and other games should not be displayed?

If you can at least connect and log in you should still at least see demos and unpurchased products. Sounds like there's some deeper issue with your account, in which case you should contact [email protected].

RisingLegend,

Don't worry, I'm working on this, too.

Well,

It would seem that luck has graced me tonight.   Stardock is now displaying its games once again. However, when I started up GalCiv II to play, the ship images and main map will not stop spinning. Not only does this make me dizzy, it makes it impossible to play the game. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

But anyways, thanks kyro. You worked your magic again- although I still don't understand how...

Planets and ships spinning out of control is most generally due to the use of an Athlon 64 x2 CPU without updated CPU drivers. If this the case with your machine, download and install the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) file found at the bottom of this page.
