The Religious Right Makes me sick!

The Religious Right Makes me sick!

They will hand Hillary the Presidency

The hypocrisy of the religious right knows no boundaries. They insinuate themselves in the Republican party like a cancer invades the body of a healthy man, slowly they rot the body from within. They are the equal of the lunatic far left in every way, just as nuts, just as damaging to the American process. Hey Religious right, not everyone is a Christian, not everyone wants to be a Christian, you do more to push away conservative thinkers than any other part of the republican party with your ridiculous demands.

While I admit you have a fair amount of power in the party, to say you will not support the apparent front runner Rudy Giuliani because of his pro-choice stance shows how shallow you really are, all you do by this is hand the Presidency to Hillary, who is also pro-choice BTW, this is like cutting off your nose because something smells bad, an incredibly stupid things to do.

Your actions make me ashamed to be a Republican. Your smug faces make me want to slap them. Your holier than thou attitude does not reflect what I know of Jesus the man, it reflects someone so full of themselves and the power they wield.

Nah Sabrina pretty much slammed the door on all this bullshit anyways in my latest barb in the side of Christians https://www.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=166095 Since Sabrina supplied plenty of proof the Christians here have fled the other blog in droves.

How's this Lula, you think what you want of me and I will think you are a hypocrite practicing a false religion that exists around a Man that is a JEW, that never called himself anything but a simple JEW.

Your entire article is nothing other than the belittling of pro-life Christians and that MM is the truth and nothing but the truth.

That's how I feel too MM and the reason why I've said very little here. While I haven't read every response by all I get the same feeling as Lula does.

I think for pro-life Christians we're in a quandry here. Both candidates mentioned here do not represent us. Yet, as MM, I think is saying is we should get behind the "lesser" of two evils. If we don't vote for Rudy...if he is the candidate to go against Hillary, then we might as well give her the vote. And while he's bad enough, she's pure evil (in many minds) so we should vote for the one who will do the least damage.

I would like to believe that Rudy, and perhaps Hillary, won't even be there and am hoping that we won't have to choose between these two at all and that this whole conversation is a moot one. Who knows?

Maybe this conversation will be renewed again only this time we'll be talking about Obama and Huckabee!! I've already gone on record tho that It's going to be Hillary and Huckabee. We'll know soon enough

hon, unless pushed I have been nothing but kind to you and Lula, staying out of anything that could be construed as negative towards Christians, but when I get pushed and Lula has been pushing and pushing hard I tend to push back, and can even get downright mean. If I offended you KFC in anyway I am deeply sorry, but I stand by my thoughts about this article, Maybe I could have written it kinder, But I am not a master writer, never will be, I write from emotion.

i am not so sure that he ever called himself a Jew. not sure but don't think so.

he was however a Jew. that encouraged others to worship god through himself.

Ok, MM, I'm find with that....but wasn't sure seeing it seems a bit harsh here... but I'm good.....   I definitely have nothing against your stating your opinion. We all have them and some of us very strongly....that's the nature of JU I guess.

I actually had this same conversation with my dad...who is a strong conservative and he feels like we should vote for anyone who goes against Hillary even if it were Micky Mouse. Just so we don't get HER in the house again.

i am not so sure that he ever called himself a Jew. not sure but don't think so.

I think you're right. I can't think of a time he did either. He called himself the son of man, the son of God, and even God but he never associated himself as a Jew or a Christian that I can think of anyway. The Christian term wasn't even coined yet. He was "the way" to the early followers who later were called Christians. The term Christian should only mean "follower of christ." Sad to say the term has been taken over to mean many things...including that but not limited to it.

It wasn't about Jews or Christians, it was about God. Jesus HAD to come to this world via a people group and God set aside the nation Israel whom he created himself to make a way for his son to come through. Moses wrote this:

"For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a special people to himself above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you nor choose you because you were more in numer than any people for you were the fewest of all people. But because the Lord loved you and because he would keep the oath he had sworn to your fathers, has the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand.... " Deut 7:6-8a.

God's sovereign choice of Israel was not based on the size of the nation (Abraham received the promise while still childless) but stemmed from His love and from faithfulness to his covenant purpose for them. It had nothing to do with what they did. They were not "better" than anyone else out there. God had a purpose and plan for Israel that is still ongoing. Part of this plan was that the Messiah would be born into this people group he chose.

Yes, MM, I have been pushing hard on this but always to the substance of what you wrote in your initial article.

I've only held your own words up for scrutiny to either make or rebut your point. I took it in stride after you explained your wanting to slap the smug faces of the religious right.

It's kinda ironic that you say here that you can get downright mean, but refuse to admit that your article was downright mean.

How's this Lula, you think what you want of me

I think your writing, your use of language here in this case is mean spirited. From what little I can tell, I wouldn't describe you as a mean person, stubborn, probably set in your ways...yes, mean no.

Huckabee

Umm . . . no. He's got no chance, despite your fondness for him.

Just wanted to mention.

i discovered ju about 6 months prior to moderateman's arrival. for nearly 3 full years i've read and responsed to his articles as he has read and responded to mine. i've interacted with him frequently and even more frequently observed him interacting with myriad registered members & visitors to ju.

notta doubt in my mind that while moderateman is a whole lotta things--very passionate and outspoken, a man of definite convictions who naturally manifests an imposing presence, a powerul personality who occasionally reacts just a lil too quickly--but mean ain't even on the list. he's not blinded by ideology nor unable to speak out against his own initial position should he discover flaws there.

he's also genuinely generous, cordial, empathetic and possessed of an excellent sense of humor.

he an i disagree on a wide range of issues. neither of us pull punches (although shortly after he joined ju he surprised me by not even attempting to hide his amusement when i suggested 'angry radical man' might be a more accurate nick and he's returned the favor on several subsequent occasions)

all of which leads me to this:

although i don't always join in threads in which you participate,i regularly search them out for a number of reasons. i've yet to see you agree to consider conceding even the slightest possibility any opinion you offer might be ever the tiniest bit flawed--including those which rely totally on faith because they cannot be proven or observed.

as far a mean-spirited goes, i gotta admit i'm still waiting for your unequivocal assertion california's firest were ignited by barbarous fetus-snacking humanists basely defiling the miraculous photo of former pope john paul's recent surprise appearance in the center of a bonfire in poland.

Yes, and maybe Hillary will spontaneously sprout pink fairy wings and commit suicide by flying up her own twat. It's possible, but not likely.

I would like a front seat to that!!!!!!
