Old (and still not resolved) bug EDIT: bug fixed in DA 1.8d

This bug is really old.
I noticed it since GalCiv II came out and from the first time I played it.
The bug can also be recreated in Dark Avatar.
It's a little hard to explain so I'll try to do it by explaining how to see it happen:

When colonizing a new planet I choose a tile to build starport, then I choose some other tiles to build other buildings. The next thing I do is buy the starport. Then, I want to start building a new vessel in the newly created starport, so I push the build button (all from the same display). Now, when the starport display is up, I expect to be able to choose which vessel to build and only after I leave that display, I expect the next event to happen (another planet being colonized window, another constructor arriving to it's destination window, etc.).
Instead, when I have turns full of events later in the game, I get the next event window popping ontop of the starport display, preventing me from choosing the vessel I need to build, since when I respond to the new event, the display is changing according to that new event. Only after all event are processed, I need to go to the planets list and search for the newly colonized planets' starport which I left idled and choose what vessel to build.

I hope I explained it clearly.
Hope also to see it fixed.

Thanks for your time SD team.

EDIT:
The bug was fixed in Dark Avatar 1.8d

Can you save this bug (As in, does this problem still exist after you save your game, quit galciv2, and then start it up again, and load the save?)?

If so, send an e-mail to:
[email protected]

Be certain to include a zip file (with that save, and maybe a few screenshots) and explain the problem.

This just seems to be the way the game works... This happens with all the end of turn types of events. (invasion, constructors, colonizing)

Essentially the game is already ending the turn, and it's been interrupted by the event. Because of this I don't allow transports to invade via autopilot.

To me, that's the only one that is bad. Upon colonization I almost never build a starport, but upon invasion you generally want to build a defender.

The other event that's like this, is when you get a planet flip. It just interrupts whatever you're doing. For that, they should just pop up a green box on the side so you can go to the planet when you want to.

End of quote

I know exactly what you mean and it's something that has irritated me for a long time too. It would be really nice if the game would pause whenever we went into a screen, and only resume when we go back to the map screen. It's annoying as hell having the game suddenly flip to some other event while I'm still busy trying to set things up in the screen I'm in.
