You only get WB6 for free if you purchased WB5 after February 2007. Otherwise, the upgrade costs $15. I agree, those of us who adopted WB5 early got shafted.

$15 is
"shafted"? When the "rules" have been known since February? As if WB5 was "chopped liver"?For cryin' out loud, get real.

$0 versus $15. While it's nice to receive a discount, there's still no apparent logic in establishing February 2007 as the cutoff date between "free" and "discounted," nor is there any apparent logic in distinguishing between people who purchased before and after February 2007 in the first place.

terpfen: So you are suggesting we should have offered no free upgrades at all?

The interesting thing here, to me . . is that when you buy WB, it's agreed that you get the current version only. So when Stardock decides to do a good thing for a few people and offer them a free upgrade and other people a discount upgrade instead of the full price it's unfair? How were you treated unfairly? What promises were made that were broken.
I'm not a Bible-thumper, but it amazes me how Matthew 20:1-16 fits so often in situations like this.
