Well, I don't know if it is related to your bug, but isn't your memory a bit low?

Current Display Mode: 1152 x 864 (32 bit) (75Hz)
Debug Message: Game Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Debug Message: Running fullscreen.

You might also take a look at your resolutions and set them to be equal. From that debug.err, it looks like your monitor is capable of 1600x1200. I don't know if it's an LCD, but, assuming it's big enough to not make you blind when you do it, I'd consider changing to that resolution (native?) under XP and in GC. And, see if you can update your video and audio drivers. I believe there are newer ones out.

Disabling Mixed Vertex Processing Mode in the Video Options screen should solve your problem. Common problem with nVida Cards.

Hahaha what an awesome error, the ability to produce near-invisible ships! Sneak attack, anybody?

this happens to me as well and i don't use anything nvidia. i have a hd 2900xt (w\ the latest drivers). this only started to happen within the last 4 patches. at least with me it did, but at first it was only one part.. then 2 or 3... then it got much worse with the latest DA patchs, specifically (1.70c[a].001 and 1.70c[b].001), where my ships were looking much like the ones in the images posted above.

i did a complete reinstall (DL & DA) lastnight and other than loosing one custom ship... things seem to be working fine.

Disabling Mixed Vertex Processing Mode in the Video Options screen should solve your problem.

thanx, i'll try this if it happens again.

I have a nasty graphics error. Whenever I use kryo's 10 hard point part I get an error.

i do use Kryo' hull mods but not the hardpoint pieces. though i've never seen this before and i have always been using his mods.

I forgot to set the virtual memory up at the time, but I have set it up higher. My computer actuall has 1000 RAM, but it only readss 512....odd. I had a friend custom make it so I'll ask him about that.

Try disabling the "Use Enhanced Ship Rendering" option in the options screen Video tab, and see if this fixes the problem.

Please let us know if that works or if it continues to look unusual.

Also, as David A Lessnau stated above, you can try updating your video drivers and see if that improves the situation.

If that does not help, please save your game and zip it.  Send it as an attachment to [email protected].  Please link to this thread in your message.  Thanks.
