Update issues

oh where do I start...
1) stability is down, many crashes occur
2) pirate bases have a nasty ability to attatch themselves to your home planet via ONE phasespace link
3) you cannot say much more than half a line when in a game lobby
4) games dont save in multiplayer!

2) you talking about random maps? havent seen that in any of the offical maps, though i havent tried them all yet.
3) true and they know about it, but not to serious a problem for a hotfix.
4) use the autosave if the game drops for some reason.

doubt it, I've reinstalled the thing from complete scratch.

autosave has apparently the same issue, again eets had an identicle problem.

are you both using vista? cause it could be that the game doesnt have permission to save the files.

Does it change if you run sins with admin access?

Are there are any dumpfiles produced? Please send them if so, they zip up quite small. Also try playing into windowed mode, then you will be able to see any error messages that come up.

have saved games before, it just didnt save that one.

and i was playing in windowed mode when it happened

well I played another game with multi, comatose and tesla and it saved then, but the issue still has popped up more than once.

also: whenever something important happens (cue up a new cap ship, research, increase bounty etc.) the game chugs massively for the host, especially if you have people with high pings playing.
