I think I built 4 colony ships!

Not sure what to do with them, but I seem to have made two systems produce two each. I double clicked on the red outlined shield I think and it showed me the system's contents and there were these two little blips below the planets, bars, they looked like, so I double clicked (single not doing anything) them and each in turn appears just outside the star on the main screen.

Those little blips signal that there is a ship in the star system. A click on it moves the ship from the star system to the main screen.
So you colonies produced two colony ships, and you removed both of them from the system in one turn.
Or did I missunderstand anything?

I thnk I moved all 4 in oneturn, tho I don't find that the sensation of a "turn" happening is particularly easy to catch.
