Marcel Marceau, easily the most famous mime ever, has passed away at 84.

While mime is a much ridiculed and parodied art, Marceau easily brought it to a level of recognition that few others could ever achieve. He was an artist in the truest sense of the word.

But (trying to beat the rest of the Internet to the punchlines) how, exactly, do you eulogize someone like that?

Seriously, it is parodied, but then it is a very difficult art form.  And one I do enjoy seeing done well.

The eulogy left the preacher speechless.

The mime lay unmoving, not a word fell from his hands.

The lid was closed on the invisible casket.

At the viewing, someone looked at his greasepaintless face and remarked, "He never looked more natural".

Mimes around the world will mourn his death, the press could get no comment from them.
