Question about pre-ordering

Ok I was going to pre-order until I saw this

Beta Status: Closed. The beta will reopen and pre-orders will be charged with Beta 3's release, currently scheduled for mid-September.

Pre-Order customers are able to take part in the Sins beta program! Please note that pre-orders are charged when beta milestones are released.

Ok so what I take from this is: I will be charged 44.95 now when I pre-order, then 44.95 when beta 3 comes out, then 44.95 when beta 4 comes out, and finally 44.95 when the full version is released. Thats like $180.

Please someone tell me I'm crazy, and this isn't true. I'm not touching this game until this issue is resolved. So could someone please explain this to me. Thanks.

That's not true. You will be charged $44.95 when beta 3 comes out, and no other time. (A temporary hold will be placed on your account after you order, this is not a charge, and should go away in a few days)

If that were ever true, there had to be more then 10 hours of goood ingame videos. Plus we would need BSG physics. and much much more

I just thought that maybe StarDock was trying to milk this for all it was worth. Not that I have anything against them. I'm really looking forward to playing Sins, but the pre-order won't work. It just says the order is not fulfilled. Oh well I'll just wait for beta 3.

if you preordered using moneh, you have to wait till beta 3 actually comes out
