Culture UI Ideas

I've been playing around, and in my current game the AI only just got culture, so I'm able to play around with what will, hopefully, be something close to the "final" result of culture (because the AI hasn't had time to get its culture set in stone, planets don't auto-flip). There are a few UI level suggestions that came out of this:

One is some indicator of how deep a planet is in another's culture (and how long it would take to flip if colonized). Another is an indicator on my own planet on how long its going to take to flip. Also, change the constant flip warnings to something more descriptive -- I don't need to be spammed with "We've lost contact with a planet!" instead of something more descriptive of the fact that the planet is in the process of flipping. And on the planets tooltip, change it from "will flip soon" to something also more useful to the player... I don't need to be spammed with that for 3 minutes straight

I was going to make my own post about culture bit I figured I'll just bump this one so the devs might see it.

First of all, does culture degrade? I am at the point in the game where I have my system culture locked and the AI has their systems locked. As it stands now I have to completely take out a AI player in order to even think about capturing the planets. If I bomb a planet back to the stone age, move my fleet on, then after the 10 min it takes for me to get a colony ship from my home system to the bombed planet, culture has not decreased. So I end up colonizing the planet and it INSTANTLY flips to the AI. I get no warning, and no chance to build a tower to fight off the culture.

Another thing, the info card for culture of a planet is broken. It always says "Culture generated 0.0/sec" even if I have 2-3 towers.

Culture does degrade, but only if there is other culture to push it back, since the AI other planets are still pumping culture.

So, really atm you can not take a planet in a culture locked system without destroying the empire doing the culture locking?

Angros suggested in this thread when you take a planet the culture lines should get pushed back some so you have a chance of taking the planet without it getting insta flipped.

Also, does anyone know why my culture is not spreading to other systems. I have had one system culture locked to about 2.5hrs of play time and it is not spreading to other cultures (I have maxed culture research). Yet, two other AIs have their culture expanding to other systems even tho they dont have a system culture locked.

It's not broken, the values are just really, really small. If you get a lot of culture centers you can get it up to 0.1 or 0.2.
