No Resources

I'm currently getting a "No Resources" on all of my planets for military production. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I can't build any ships so my populations are mushrooming out of control while these really tasty, uncolonized planets nearby are going to waste!

Is there way to replenish resources? If not, I believe this game I'm playing must be over. ;)

Check your budgets. You might be in too much debt so all spending has been stopped until you're out of debt, or you may just not have enough money going towards military projects. :)

Ah-ha! I didn't know that the resources were linked to the Military slider. I was thinking it was actual resources you were mining on your planets. I'm really not too much in debt (-200) but I do have my military slider set way down (I was pumping up tech for a few turns). I'll reset the sliders and see what happens.

Those sliders on the FIRST TAB of the DOMESTIC POLICY screen are *very* important to the game. There's 5 you need to concern yourself with: Tax Rate, Spend Rate, and the 3 for Military/Social/Research production. Achieving the right balance between all 5 is of utmost importance. On the right-hand side of the screen is a sort of "balance sheet" which shows the results of any changes to the sliders, and allows you to optimize.

For example, if you find that by increasing Military by 5% you only get one extra Military bc, but by increasing Social by 5% you get 3 extra Social bc's... you know something's up. This is just a hypothetical example, not even sure if its possible.
