crash and reso reset (Invalid call)

Soooo....been playing the game just fine, never had a problem until just now. Not sure if Smart exception will help because I dont think its a game bug.

I have a widescreen, and this last game it completely crashed out of GalCiv, and gave me a little window that simply said "Invalid call" and the only option was to click "OK".

When I restarted the game, it had "stretched" the resolution, everything was grainy and I also noticed the mouse icon went back to the default ( I usually play with it as the hardware icon, not the futuristic looking GalCiv one). Now I can't get it to return to the way it was. Any ideas?

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. If this is a DA report, you'll find the debug in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar instead. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug will be erased and recreated for the new session.

Note: If running on Vista with DA 1.6b2 or later, the debug.err is now located in My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar.

If I reload the current game (with the graphics all messed up still ) will that have the debug file you need?

All you need to do is run the game and experience the problem, however you need to go about that. Then open the debug and post it here.
