invaid key

i just bought the gold edition and when i type the serial number of the back of the case, it came up with 'invaid key' someone please help

I purchased DA some time ago and got invalid serials as well.

Stardock sent me an obtuse support email which was no use at all. anyway i just moved on to other games.
