Destroyed Pirate Ships still appear on Map

Hi,
Great work on the game by the way. I love it. The bug I would like to report is minor and please accept my apologies if it has already been reported (I tried a few searches but didn't find it). Anyhow, after an evil race was destroyed all their ships became pirates, which is pretty cool. However, I found that after I destroyed some of these ships, they would still show up on the screen. I could drive right through them and they would not move or do anything, but it was a real annoyance because I had to always remember which ships on the screen were really there and which were not. I assume they were not meant to be ghost-ships as there was no spooky music and no affect on my planet's moral:) I have only had this problem once so far, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Do they stay there after a save and reload, and what version of the game are you running?

Thanks for getting back to me. My Game version is (and was) 1.6. I recall that I was rather close to winning the game when the bug happened and therefore I did not reload the game at any point. If I remember correctly the ships that became pirates were originally part of a fleet (before they were pirates). I wish I could tell you more, but I have only been recently using the nifty forum here and did not think to carefuly record all the details at the time of the bug. As I mentioned it was a pretty minor issue that has not happened in the few game I have had since. My hunch was that something went wrong with the new indicator showing that there is a stack of ships present (either when the stack breaks up or when it comes together).

Hi,
I encountered the exact same problem once again. I destroyed a civilization and some of its ships turned pirate; once I destroyed one of the pirate ships (or fleets) it remained on the screen even though I could fly through it. This time I saved the game, exited the program completely and then restarted the program and reloaded my game. The destroyed ship no longer appeared on the map.
