Should I 1.2?

I am currently using 1.10 and I love the program except for a problem I have when I spend too much time on the client machine (it requires me to kill explorer.exe on the server machine then reboot it -- anyway -- this issue has been discussed elsewhere). My question is should I upgrade to 1.2 since everything else works fine in 1.10? Based upon some other posts I'm afraid I will do more harm than good by upgrading. Does anyone know if 1.2 will correct the problem I referred to earlier?

Also, if I do want to upgrade do I just download the trial then activate again? I never received an email from Stardock with instructions nor any notice of the new version.

Thanks for your help

I would suggest the update yes. I have not experianced that problem with working on the client too much. Currently at my desk I do 90% of my 8 hours on my client running the latest versions (both Vista and XP represented in this set up).

I would highly suggest using Stardock Central to download any of our applications. Not only will this allow you to resume downloads, it will also notify you when updates are available, and prompt to update.

You're able to create a Stardock.net account here: https://www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp
This will be required to log into the Stardock server through Stardock Central.

You may download Stardock Central here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe

By the way, you're also able to have Stardock Central email you your account information at any time through the Tools->Lookup serial number option. This is a nice feature, though you will never need to remember your serial number or any download links to use Stardock Central. You will only need to remember the email address and password you specify for your Stardock.net account.

Cheers

Thank you very much for your reply. Based upon your suggestion I will upgrade to 1.2.

I followed the links you provided and it seems that I have to download and install Stardock Central in order to get my upgrade (I am a registered Multiplicty Pro user). Is that true? Or can I just download the "public" version and insert my original order number to activate the Pro version.

No offense, but I'd prefer not to install Stardock Central. I don't need a chat program, etc and I personally don't like to install anything on my system that I don't have absolutely have to. Also, it does not seem to be Vista compatible.

Thank you again for your assistance.

FYI -- it was this problem - Vista as Server causes Explorer.exe to crash - that I was referring to in my original post.

Just go to https://www.stardock.com/support and fill in the E-Mail adress You ordered MP under. You will then get a mail with the links to the full download. If You have linked ('cross-referenced') Your Stardock to Your Wincustomize account, You can also see Your registered products in Your profile.

BTW, Stardock central runs flawlessly with Vista (32bit here).
