did i miss a memo

or is there supposed to be a max number of warships in an empire.

i also have a few questions

i finally made it to the star. and there were pirates there after they were forced to retreat into one of my highly defended wells i noticed that non came back until i left the star area.

1. does this mean that they won't or i just didn't sit there long enough. also if true how many ships do i need there to keep them away. also when i got to the second star there were no pirates.

2. the trade ships are not running from star to star now. is this a bug or becouse of the pirates.

3 i knew there was a three the AI doesn't seem to be building ships. i mean it will build some ships but it isn't maxing out. and with all of the pirates running around gaining lvls for caps is not that hard.

my first built cap. in this game gained 2 lvls almost as soon as it came out of space dock my capital was being attacked by pirates

you should consider the logistics of manpower , thats what I consider the fleet support amount to be. what does it matter if you have 1000x of ships if no one to crew them...

Hard to say. I'm not sure if pirates only spawn when nobody is looking or not, need an IC comment on that. Same for the interstellar traders (don't know if it's supposed to or not).

It's been confirmed that the AIs are not spending intelligently on bounties, and can't cope with the subsequent floods of pirates. AI fleet composition is also being worked on.

I used to have some (10-15) missile Corvets in the Stars gravwell, and the pirates were still appearing; Thought they appear at different places in the gravwell, usually oposite of where they want to jump. And those Corvets usually take a junk out of those large raiding parties.

Hm. When I hammered the last remaining AI, it set a bounty of 1.5mio credits on my head and pirates started pouring in from the local star; I even lost a few planets - but in the end the bounty on my head had nearly hit the 2mio mark (I left the game running to see what happens when one reaches 10mio credits)

I don't think trade ships went between stars in beta 1 either. Refinery ships did, but not trade ships.

i watched them run between systems.

in one game i accendently had one escorted and watched the combat ship follow it between stars.


speaking of watching i would like to have the trade ships and refinery ships returned to the screen so i can watch them go between grav wells.

Turn the option back on to show their icons in the interface options.
