Don't get to download 1.6 thru Stardock

from GalCiv2 Forums
I tried to update and it says it updates thru stardock but it does not the game is still version 1.5.
When I click on GalCiv2 on the "new" item created on my desktop (now I have 2 GalCiv2 icons), I get the message that "GC2Lauch.exe has stopped working". With no other explanation. I have Vista and the latest drivers for my video cards.

The icon that says GalCiv2 Vista does start the program version 1.5.

Try browsing to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar and running GC2DarkAvatar.exe directly, to see if it's just the launcher acting up.

I would have liked to quote your reply but I cannot. When I try to click on quote I get NOTHING.

When I do what you suggested all I get is VERSION 1.5. Not version 1.6.

You need to highlight the text you want to quote, then click Quote.


Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here.
