For some reason my mouse is flickering when ever I open the game. I even tried using the regular mouse but it still didn't work.

Please help, Schnide.

In Options/Video make sure 'Hardware Mouse Cursor' is turned on.

I have this same problem, but the hardware mouse cursor doesn't solve anything. Is it something to do with the graphics card, maybe?

Well, you can bring it to windowed mode, which will stop it from blinking and only have an occasional line through it. Try the sticky on updating your graphics card driver, if you have the ship preview windows rotating too quickly or other problems similar to that.
