Dark Avatar update troubles

Hi
I recently reformatted my computer, installing Vista, and as a treat to myself I bought Glactic Civilizations 2: Gold edition (GE), where prevoiusly I only had Dread Lords. I installed GE, and entered my serial number. But when I tried to update Dark Avatar, I ran into a snag.
It would let me update DL, but not DA. Whenever I clicked on 'Update', it linked me to the purchase page. It still refuses to let me update DA no matter what I do. Does anyone know what's going on here?

You need to register the Gold serial as DA as well--go to the Tools menu in SDC, and choose Register Products. Pick Games on the left in the Register Products window, then find DA in the Product pull-down menu. Enter your email address (same as forum account) and serial number, then click Register.
