2nd colony in system

I ran into some problem wiht settling a second (class 16) planet in a system where I already had a colony. Basically a colony ship was built, loaded with 500m and launched. I then moved it back on to the system and it disappeared from view without any dialogue like you usually get for picking a planet to colonise.

Looking in the list of ships I can see my colony ship and that it has people on board but nothing I do (click sentry, disband etc) has any effect. I can only bring up the info window on it. Any idea where I've gone wrong?

Try rolling the mouse over the available planets in the system (this worked for me) - i found that even without the prompt, the game was still waiting for me to select a planet to colonize.

I had this exact same bug occuer to me. It needs posting on the bug report if it isn't there already.

Yeah, it's more obvious when you're colonizing a new system, but when you're putting a 2nd colony in, it's asking for the same thing as before (pick a planet) it's just not giving you the name the system prompt up front so it's not as intuitive. But as Kakupacal mentioned, if you put the cursor over the planets, you should still see it turn into a colony ship and you can select the other planet to colonize.

Thanks guys, I'll try that tonight.

Any idea about what happened to my colony ship, ie why is it still shown in ships listing but I can't give it orders...

Like some ppl said b4, the game is w8ing for you to click on a planet too colonize.
If you want to abort, just click outside the system where you send your colony ship 2.
Also select your colony ship in the window where you see launched ships (orbit)

If it isn't there then you probably accidently send your ppl back to your original planet and you lost your colonyship.
If that is the case and the ship is still in the 'shiplist' then it might be a bug.

That's correct - the game is in the ship list but not shown in orbit.

I'll load up the game tonight, if the save game still shows the problem I'll submit a bug report then.
