GalCiv II Desktop won't/can't uninstall

not even after reinstalling

I've installed the GalCiv II Desktop, believing it was a game extension only to find out it was a program that modifies Windows XP themes. So, wanting to uninstall it, I tried first the uninstall program, which didn't work and popped up a weird screen instead, apparently the uninstall prompt without text content (see screen shot below) and then the Control Panel add/remove, with the same result. I reinstalled that, which allowed me to uninstall the reinstalled program, but not the first one.

So, how do I remove this desktop theme thing completely, restoring my XP Pro SP2 to its prior state? Thanks in advance!

Here's the screen shot of the uninstall window that won't work:

Just in case: yes, I've looked and searched for similar topics on this forum, but none of the information given in related topics resolves my problem.

Looks like you will have to find the appropriate entry in your windows registry and delete it.

Not that i can help you with your uninstall issue, but on a slight tangent i found the easiest way to use the package was to open it using a zip program and extract the various pieces i required. Had to do this as the package has never been updated and does not work with windowblinds etc. as it shows as a old version.
Once extracted i could load in all the parts separately and have had no issues since.

I sent my issue in to that address on 5/28: don't know why, but I haven't received a reply yet. Do support requests usually take somewhat longer?

Did you get an automated reply to your message right after you sent it? If you didn't, then the messages were likely stopped by spam filters coming or going. If you have a spam/bulk folder, check there to see if anything got caught on your end.
