Solar system tilt and up & down?

Atm we have a plain Solar system. It would be cool and more advanced in some ways, if we where to travel upward or downwards in the Solar system.

It could be done, by just tilting the Solar system.

Also within a Solar system you could have planets/asteroids that are above or below others, so you would need to travel to the top/bottem of a grav well to get to that one

I hope it make any sense

By galaxy i mean solar system sorry.
SS = solor system

When a SS is tilted it can look like this

Yellow is the sun
The red line represent our normal plain SS. And when to go to another planet, you dont go up or down.

So if the SS is tilted, and you need to reach another planet like the blue line, its up or downwards.

So what im suggesting, is that some of the SS is tilted so we have more Z-axis movement.

And in a normal plain SS we we dont either move up or down, unless we order our ships to do so within a grav well.
So im suggesting that we get planets placed so we have to travel to the bottem or top or a grav well to reach the other planets. Something like SotS.

edit:
first post edited, so instead of galaxy i say solar system

In our own solar system all the (real) planets are on one plane. The objects that are non-planar are more or less certainly newcomers. Even the width of let's say the meteor belt is neglible compared to the size of the solar system. Game-wise that would be nice, otherwise it's not so neccessary IMO.

I think she is talking about having the solar systems angled as relative to one another.

neccessary? well no, but it will give a more spacey feeling.
Atm we kinda go north south east and west.

Well what ever ppl wanna call Pluto its orbit is abit tilted

I know we got planets like Saturn with the tilted rings

But what about planets, where north and south pole are tilted too.

As we dont get free movement within the solar systems, then this could be an alternativ for more atmospheric feeling that its really is outer-space.

fatnes = b00b's and im male, so b00b's + male = shemale

We are talking about solar systems being rather flat but that we do have non-conformity in nature which would fit nicely in the game. That and male boobs.  Anyway, I would definitely support more 3D systems. Especially their placement relative to other systems. Who says a plane of one system can't be orthogonal to the plane of another.

Exactly, thats what i mean
So maybe the skyboxes (background) wont change to black, but then other things like this, could help with more of a realistic view.

Actually (dons astronomer hat) Saturns rings are rather flat, Uranus is the one with tilted rings, and that is only because the planet itself is skewiff, seeing as the ring system still more or less follows the equator.

There have been several discovered exosolar planets that don't orbit on a regular plane (ie around their stars gravitational equilibrium (equator)). Thats how we separate the "real" planets from the late comers, since the matter that formed the planets rotated in a flat disc around our star. So if this were to be implemented in game I would have to say that a solar system only have a couple of planets off plane, for realism purposes.

Lets try and keep things remotely on-topic, since this is the beta reports forum, mmkay?

Just to bad, that the rings around planets are so rare within the game, kinda like them. Ofcourse i dont wanna seem them all over the place, but abit more then we do now.

The idea of systems non-parallel is kinda good IMO but then, should we also be able to turn the camera/view clock and counterclockwise, for better viewing?

sorry, back on topic.

Non-parallel is indeed good, but the in-game effect would be very small right? It doesn't really make much difference if the flat plane is at an angle with another one. In my opinion it might make selection difficult, and if that's the case, i'm against it, otherise, thumbs up.
