Links not working for me

Not sure I'm in the right place for this. When I try to click on a link I get either an error or no skins to display.Example: I can go into windowblinds, I go to Black Vista Basic v3.0, I can download that. But when I click on the link for other skins available I ger a wincustomize error. Then I got to the link he has for bootskins and I get no skins to display. It's not just there any links I try to click on I get one of those 2 errors. I cleared my cookies and ect.... nothing helps.I just started a couple days ago. Before that nothing was wrong at all. Hope you can figure this out. Thanks.

Can you post the URL of the page you were on and the url of the pages you were trying to go to?
What browser?
Have you tried an alternative browser?

Hi Zubaz, she is referring to the links to other skins that I included with my skin description, I'm getting the same problem too, the links aren't working, from what I can tell the addresses are correctly entered. I didn't type them in, I just copied the shortcut from the skin link on the page, never had this problem before.

Hi Raggedy Ann, you can also find these skins by browsing the bootskin, logon, & rainlendar sections of this website, they're all newly released so you should find them somewhere near the top of each section. Sorry for any trouble/inconvenience this has caused you.

Well at least I'm not the only one. I've never had this problem before.It's not just his, it's all the links that they put in for you to check out there other stuff and ect.. I'm using IE7. if I click on the link, it tells me no skins to display but if I go up to the address bar and cut or copy the url it takes me to the right place. it doesn't work all the time but sometimes. like this one didn't work for me to copy and paste..https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=8703&libid=32  also having another problem with downloading a bootskin from Alperium.it tells me my access level doesn't permit me to use this page....https://www.wincustomize.com/download.aspx?skinid=8785&libid=32. I'm only having trouble on this website. Thanks.

the access level issue may be a problem related with rating a skin, the download button & the ratings area are close together and sometimes when I attempt to download a skin the rating screen comes up instead. Try downloading Al's bootskin again but slowly move your cursor up from below the download button, when the download button gets hilighted (bright red), then you can click on it and it should download. Al's bootskins are pretty slick (he pretty much owns the bootskin category right now) are worth a 2nd attempt at downloading them. I hope this info helped.

sign out/log off the website (upper left hand corner of this page you will see your userid and the "sign out" link). Click on tools, internet options, clear out your history, cookies, temporary internet files, etc. Close & restart internet explorer, go to the wincustomize site, try downloading the bootskin in question, if it won't let you, login to the site using your wincustomize userid & password and then try downloading the file. If that don't work, you got me - I wouldn't know what else to try?

Maybe another browser will solve your problem (flock, firefox, avant, opera, etc.)

I did all that and downloaded firefox. still the same thing with that bootskin. so far that is the only thing that comes up that way. maybe with that one the file isn't there. since I'm getting a 404 error code first, then the rest of the stuff is under that. you got me on what's going on!But Thanks for your input.

It's because those skins are still in moderation. They changed it so that when you upload a skin it displays in your personal gallery first before it gets moderated and you're *supposed* to be able to download it (at least from what I can remember they said) but instead it doesn't work and just gives that "insufficient access level" error.

I also was told that skins would be 'accessible to being downloaded ' while in mod queue..but that doesnt seem to be the case at the moment..as for the links ..I reported this problem on the " Report site bugs thread " and I have had to change links that I have linked to 3 times. I know the correct link to put in but when I click on it, it does not take me to the proper place and has now added on ' extra percent symbols and letters' to the URL. That was if I linked to someone personal gallery. So I went to each WC gallery and gathered the proper links to each skin directly...now when I click those links today, all 5 bring me to buzzh58's WC personal page - Yet, every link is different and should of taken me to each skin separately.
Jazzymjr is having same problem as I am..re: links not going to proper destination or stating " WC Error" or " Skin not found "
