Whales visit Rio Vista

 While I was sitting at home, my ex-wife { a truly wonderful woman} {she sat vigil with Colleen at my bedside while I was in coma} { I wish I could have seen that!} Anyways I digress.

I get a call from her telling me the lost whales are right in my backyard, so I jump on my trusty steed, dig spurs into his side and off we go down to the river, a whole mile and a half away, lo and behold there they are mom and baby whale along with about a zillion boats and two zillion rubberneckers. I did remember to bring my camera and got nine great shots of the whale, what splendid animals they are, so huge, yet so gentle.

I did some hoping down the river to keep up with them and was really enjoying the day when.... along came the Rio Vista police.. It seems us civilians were getting in the way of reporters and professionals photographers and taking up all the "good" spots and "needed" to move along now. Bah!!!

Anyways I had a good time despite the ending and really came home feeling quite the adventurer.
