Better Ship´s ?

Its strange, i got good tech, any buildable techs which affect strenght and my ships ?? They are bad as hell, not enough Hitpoints and so on. Am i missing something to upgrade ships or what ??

There are several tech that increase your attack/defense and hit points. Also military resources will greatly enhance these as you add modules to the starbase.

Likely what you're seeing is AI ships from a civilization ruled by the War Party (+50 HP bonus to ships). Harvesting anomalies with a Survey Ship and some techs (Shipyard, etc) will add to your ships' HP, as will experience - surviving a battle results in increased offense, defense, and HP.
