Can someone PLEASE explain why this happens. There are many blinds, great ones, that I will not
use because of this.
It happens on multiple systems too.

Drives me nuts!
I've posed this question off and on through the years and nobody has ever come up with an answer.

Phoon - This looks like the Vienna WB by vStyler. I just downloaded it and made a SS with no problems. I know that isn't providing an answer to you.

I have had similar things happen to me when I change from one WB to another. Not sure what causes it unless it has to do with differences between how and what skinners are doing when that make thier skins. I usually log out and back in or sometimes have to reboot but it takes care of the problem.

Maybe someone will stop by and explain to us just what is happening.

Happens here too. Some blinds do it, some don't.

Bewildering Borders Bring Broken Blinds

It almost sounds better if you pinch your cheeks and pull 'em out when you say it

Which Cheeks?

Stardock..
I realize that this may be difficult for you to resolve since it does not happen to everyone.
It does however, happen to many people and your response would be appreciated.
FYI, it happens with the default installed blinds, Blackcomb and Dogmax as well.

Yesterday I submitted a Support Ticket on this as well. #QCS-882187.
It has not been looked at yet.

Thank you.

Be careful when using the second set of cheeks to do this. If you pronounce the B's too strongly it can have disaterous consequences!

I've lately been having this issue with skins I've created - if the borders of the menubackground image use any magic pink trans and are in .bmp format, I'll get the unskinned border displaying in white just like that (even with the correct trans settings in SKS). I can convert the .bmp to a .png with alpha trans, let SKS import it to .tga and the borders will display correctly. Background images in .bmp format which do not have magic pink in their borders display fine. I just installed Vienna and the menubackground borders display correctly here since they don't use magic pink trans. I've wondered if it might be partially a driver issue - I'm stuck with proprietary drivers that I can't update on this rig or I'd test that theory.

I'm using Nvidia cards on both systems.
Both have the latest drivers as well. I would think if it were an Nvidia issue then many more people would be experiencing the issue.

Diawa.. are you getting this problem with this skin?

I think she's ok...

Stardock,
I am going to bump this thread repeatedly until someone takes a look at this.
Still no acknowledgement of the helpdesk ticket I submitted.

I submitted a Support Ticket on this as well. #QCS-882187

Im pretty sure Diawa is a guy..but no, why I was asking is..If he sees IT on some themes..but not on mine.. but you DO see it on mine..sorta deepens the mystery even further doesn't it. If it was theme dependant.. both of you would be getting the issue I assume.

oh and... Stardock.. WHERE ARE YOU?

Seeing it on my work system .......Nvidia Quadro FX 4500

I'll check at home later. I've got an ATI X1600 there.

C'mon guys.  How many times has it been said? This forum is a community support forum, not one monitored by the Stardock devs.  We should be thrilled when they do chime in but not expecting it.

Phoon, just becasue you haven't seen any action with your case does not mean that there is no action happening in the background.  It could also mean that your problem is in the queue and will be gotten to.  Bump away though . . can't hurt, right?

vStyler, interesting observation that it may not be skin related.
I have no doubt that it is NOT theme related. I am leaning towards NVida Drivers at this point..

Zubaz, I know this is not the supported avenue for support, and I do realize the workings of a helpdesk. It also cannot hurt to send out the reminder messages like that to also assist in gathering more information. This issue may be more widespread than anyone realizes. Many people just may assume this to be normal skin behavior and accept it as such.
For me personally, it kills any enjoyment I get from Windowblinds. A good portion of my favorite themes have done this.

Well, sorry for screaming on ,my part, I just hate to see any of my work in particular showing oddities. Drives me nuts.   I also didnt know Stardock werent mandated to monitor the forums.. my bad.
