How do we know each other?

JU relationships

Ok, I know we have some married couples and some siblings and I think some parent/kid relationships. I know some of the relationship here, but I was just curious how we all knew each other -- other than meeting on JU.

I'll start. Myrrander is my older brother. He told me about JU about three years ago, and I've been blogging here on and off since then. Of course, when I started blogging here, I didn't tell him I was his little sis. ;-)

I know exactly TWO people on here in real life...and one of 'em b/c I'm living in the house where she'll grow up.

The other one's one I won't divulge on here unless he gives me the green light. He's only posted here a bit, but he's a truly great person (one of the bright spots of the community), and I wouldn't mind seeing him post more. So I won't point him out at this time.

I found JU because I was looking to start a blog, so I googled the information. JU was actually my second choice; the first was a long forgotten blog that had about two articles and never generated any traffic.

Make that four. Tex's folks have blogged here before (not nearly enough, hint, hint) and they're pretty great people as well.

I was brought here by my friend, as some of you might recall his screenname was Capt. Cornbread...however, I seem to be the sole remaining member of the entire group of my "real life" friends that had blogs here. So...basically there are no outside relationships on this site for me...unless one of my friends decides to blog here again.

No, we lured you here to wander the earth alone...kind of like the Incredible Hulk.

So, deal with it, man!

My wife blogs here, but very infrequently. I wish she'd blog more but as she writes for a living, she finds it hard to write to relax as well.

I have tried to get 'real' friends interested in this community but to no avail. A few have checked out the site a few times and one of my brothers has posted a few comments on a couple of my articles but thats it.

As for finding this place, I'd been reading about blog sites. I was looking for somewhere I could post anything I liked (with reason, of course). JoeUser wasn't on the list, but I'd tried a couple of others and didn't like the formats. Then I accidentally stumbled on JU and the rest is history.

My childhood best friend, LobsterHunter, encouraged me to sign up when she came to visit a few years ago when Adrian was in Afghanistan.

My brother has blogged here (infrequently) as AvantiTexan. My parents sometimes blog here (really infrequently) as crap, I can't remember what name. Anyways, with them it's hard to tell who is commenting since they share the account (although mom is dyslexic, so if the spelling is mangled, it's mom).

Adrian actually blogged here for a very short time, but imploded and was banned. Haha.

I've never met Gideon, although I hope to this summer, but I "know" him outside JU. I've met Toblerone, and I know a few other people outside JU as well. I don't want to name names and ruin anyone's reputation.

lostintexas. Tell 'em we want more. I think I've been in the panhandle long enough to swap a few tall tales with yer pops.

I have gossipin' to do with you, btw. Did J and L get divorced? Do you know what I'm talking about?

I refuse to tell my friends where I blog. I always call it "my blog site" or "the place I blog" and sometimes, when I'm not careful, "JU". For some reason, I really like my privacy here.

I have a message board I frequent and I call it my baby website or my mommy website.

I'd rather not have cross-over since things I say here would probably offend my mommy website friends and my mommy website friends know waaaaay too much personal stuff about me. Haha.

Not officially, but it's in the works. The boys are still over most of the time, because, sadly, she doesn't seem to want them around much more than he does. The sad thing is, they're great kids.

I have met KFC and another occasional female blogger here.

I hope to meet everyone eventually....betcha didn't know that huh? Buwhahahahaha.

NOoooo!  We needed someone to clean up the animal poop, and he seemed a natural.

San Cho and I are brothers.  My wife blogged a bit here, but it just didn't really grab her.  I would love to see her write some more, but she is too busy.

Other than those two, I haven't met anyone here.  Dynosaur (haven't seen him in ages) and I were going to meet, but that fell through.

I haven't met anyone from JU in "real life" yet but I would love to meet some of the people from here. I found JU through a web search and this is the first and only place I've blogged. I am thinking of starting an art blog though once I get my scanner working and photoshop back on my computer.

No one for me either, although a few folks and I have 'talked' outside of JU.

I found JU by accident, web search for me too. Don't even remember via which search engine at the time! I started blogging when my mom was ill and my venting in a written journal wasn't enough. It's kinda weird looking back at my beginning blogs and seeing what was going on then. I actually stayed because of the warmth and friendship I found here. Blue Dev and Cordelia were my first two commentors! Back in the day when Danny and Floozie and yeah I remember Dynosaur were regulars.

Yup. I started blogging here about a year and a half ago, because of his invitation.

And here I am. I've exchanged e-mails with a few of the people on here, but other than that . . . nope.

I know Draginol, KarmaGirl, T-Man, Dark-Star and any number of other admins and coders associated with the site.

Of course, that's because I work in the same office as them

I stumbled into Joeuser by accident. The only people I have any real contact with outside joe {besides some emailing} is simon and sabrina {by phone} a couple times a month.

I want to meet shades of grey {meg} I only name meg because she has done so many wonderful things not just for me, but for my wife when I was ill along with simon and sabrina.

I would love meeting most folks here in America and some from Australia {maso, cacto}

well, I haven't actually been blogging much, but I've been around and reading for awhile and keep intending to write more.

My hubby is SPC Nobody Special, and he was introduced to JU by a couple of guys from work, but I'm not sure if I should list them. I have met lifehappens and a couple of others, but don't know anyone very well, although we do have an aquaintance in common with Myrrander.

Hmm, I'm starting to see a web forming. Lifehappens invited me to JU at the beginning of 2005 (We met in 1996-7 at DLI), I've met her husband & one of his sisters (whichever one of his sisters is "pantherchic").
