Each Moment, Joyful Moment

With palms together,
Good Morning Everyone!
Here we are again. Its wonderful how that happens! There is such joy in each and every breath we take. Each time I place my feet on the ground, or bring my body up to sit, I feel the force of gravity, the earth holding me, and my senses open.
We must make sure that we are prepared to receive each moment. A guest will not be welcome in a crowded and disorderly home.
We prepare by sitting Zazen. This means we take a seat, face a wall, and open ourselves in all directions. Nothing is stopped, nothing is caught, nothing is held tightly. When we practice this way we find we are able to release old stuff and let it seep away. We also find that we have toxic thoughts, yet we see these thoughts have no place to take root unless we provide the space and then nurture them. Eventually, or for some fortunate ones, immediately, we see compassion, generosity, and wisdom emerge from our center. We see this center and the universe are not two, but one. It is in such a moment we are Buddha.
It is in this oneness that moments are infinite and our compassion is boundless.
Be well.
