A couple of things

I don't know if they have been mentioned yet.

1. building: The effects of a building/jump inhib or what ever should not be available without the building being complete. Example; i was being attacked by a large fleet that went after my jump inhib and before it was blown to bits I started building another one and it immediately prevented the enemy from jumping. I won the battle because that bought enough time for my strike force to get back home. [end example]
Perhaps instead of the effects being 100% available you could have an expanding area based on the percentage of completion?

2. Fighters/bombers: If the hangers or ships are destroyed your fighters/bombers get destroyed too. Could we not have them assigned to ships/hangers with space available? or atleast wait till after the battle with the option of scuttling or keeping in the area for patrols?

3. trade federation playing easy small only me and him/her/it must have a soar thoat because when he sends a message it is always whisper.

2 - Yeah it is a bummer. What is worse if your planet gets capped everything self destructs. I do hope that will be changed as well. It is kind of funny in a way however. It is sort of like they send out an APB suggesting to toss in the towel and commit suicide because it will surely irk the enemy to be deprived of the experience (and points) of doing it. The truly last great act of defiance.
3 - I think it is a "whisper" because it is going to you only.

3-yes that means he/she/it is only talking to you which in a one player game makes a lot of sense lol

3 - I figured as much. It is just wierd to see whisper when it is just me and the AI like the AI has a soar throat or it is coming on to me   

2 - ouch. That really needs to be addressed.

1 - I guess I missed it using search. Old age I probably misspelled it. I know I had mentioned something similar with the research function. I think a gradual increase of influence up until the stations or what is 100% would work well. This would also add to the decision of placement of the orbiting platforms. Just an idea anyway.

Only happens when it's the last planet of a player. You lose your last planet, you lose the game... stops the chase down the last unit kinda game that i hate in rts games... If you take out a planet and that player you attacked has another planet elsewhere. then you have to take out everything

@Trist - that has not been my experience. My last game I had over 8 planets and I purposely left a built up planet undefended except for only guns (working on my Gauss Gun mod). The AI sent two fleets in the frigs went to the guns and the caps when to the planet once the planet was toast all my infrastructure simply vanished.

I did not report it however because I have several modified files in play and even though the mods I have made have no impact on such a thing logically it simply introduces unknowns into the mix and the devs dont need to deal such things.
