Installing DA Over Previous GC2 Install

Hello

Anyway, I've recently acquired a copy of GalCiv2 Gold. I've been wanting to install it (especially because I've wanted to try out the new Dark Avatar expansion), but I've had some concerns about doing so because I already have a registered copy of GalCiv2 on my hard drive. I'm asking if there's anything I should know about overwriting a previous install, specifically:

1. Do I have to, or will I be able to, deregister the old copy before installing or registering the new one?
2. Will I have do delete any mods I may have installed on the original copy, or does the new install overwrite them automatically?

Thanks in advance for your help

I don't know about that, but, I bought GC2:DL last month (download only), DA this month (download only), and I will be buying Gold Boxed in a day or so. The boxed one is for another computer.

There is no need to do so. Just register your GC2Gold serial as DA in SDC, and you can leave the DL registration as-is.

If you install it in the same location, it should overwrite your existing DL installation. If you did not use the mods folder then that means it will also replace any altered data files.
