0.62[b].010 - a list

Ok, got a few here:

You need more research stations for higher tiers of research. I like this idea a lot however the research descriptions need to be updated to reflect this additional requirement. Also, you are unable to queue up higher tier research topics until the second (or more) research station is completed. Probably should be able to begin queuing topics once the next research station is queued (like you can start queuing research topics when the first station is queued but not finished yet).

Enemy ships seem to get goofy when you build a phase space inhibitor when they already have orders to jump. They will just idle there and some even drift all over the place:

In this one you can see that the phase inhibitor is still under construction ( I thought I got a better screenie of it but I guess I missed, but in this one you can still see the two lines under its icon indicating that it's still being built) yet the enemy fleet is inhibited.

And a couple minor graphical glitches:

After destroying an enemy frigate factory that was in the process of building a frigate, the spark effect persisted for a few seconds after the factory itself was already gone.

Just before I wiped out their last colony, these guys offered me an alliance. I didn't take them up on their offer and when they died the hand icon remained. Notice in the screenshot that their name is greyed out indicating that they have been eliminated. The hands never went away (no, you can't click them to accept the alliance offer). Haven't tried to reload the save game and see if it is still there or not.

On the plus side, I haven't had a crash yet

Oops, almost forgot:

+ Changed sorting of structures in Empire Tree so defenses are first in the list and resource asteroids are last.

That's from the change list for the 0.62[b].010 version... yet it doesn't seem to be that way in the game.

Hmm, for the last tier of research the topics became available as soon as I queued the research station... so maybe I just didn't have the resources at the lower ones... could have sworn that I checked that though. Oh well...

As soon as the research station is queued up , the next level of research is available.

They should at least wait until AFTER the research stations are built before allowing advanced research.

WedgeHG I already post about the phase block enemy ship from jump bug in this post.

They should at least wait until AFTER the research stations are built before allowing advanced research.

It only STARTS after the station is built, but you can que it up perfectly normal.

Correct!

Ok, looks like I goofed up on that one. Must have just been short on resources or something.

And sorry Xavior, just getting tough to keep track of all the posts. And you didn't have the part about them drifting halfway across the solar system

WedgeHG did you miss this part? I couldn't edit the original post fyi.

I also notice that another side effect of this bug is that it cause the ship to be "outside"(outside being won't show up on the icon when zoom out to galaxy level) of the system so it won't jump to another planet or whatever until I give an order to move to a target (tested another ship, haven't through test others target). Lastly this can be annoying because it would cause more than several ship to be stuck in other system when you need them to move to the forward with the group.

Yea, missed that. Sorry again lol

A few more to add:

Data Archive: When you queue up research in this category, all research queued subsequent to that should be at the reduced cost granted by research into the data archive. This is because you don't actually start those topics until AFTER the data archive research has been completed.

If you select an enemy ship and it phase-jumps away you can still see all of its stats. I think that once it leaves an area that you have vision of you should lose contact with it.

Level 2 "Probe" was available to my scout frigate immediately upon queuing research for it. I am unsure whether they would actually use level 2 (vs. just level 1) or if it just said level 2, but either way, something isn't quite right.
