Personal sites info

Is there one place to find the information needed to work and understand the personal sites ? I can figure out how most of it works, but just wonder if there is one place (I have yet to find!) where new users would be able to find all the information on :
- how to work watchlists
- upload personal pics and screenshots
- change your settings and profile
- an explanation of "hits", "referrals", and points
- full explanations of working with the forums

I thought I'd give this one more try after a couple days, hoping someone out there would know if and where this information might be written down.

I was trying to find this info source for friends who were starting to frequent the site - and for myself, I was also looking for the information on "points", "hits" and "referrals" (eg: how are they created, etc.).

Well I don't know of any one article that goes into all the details, but I figured out most the settings by just playing with them, trial and error. Uploading personal pics and screenshots are easy. Just go to your account and use the Update Images section. All the instructions are there. Same with personal information and settings info. If you're on the Home page of the site there's a link at the far right that says Settings, things can be changed/adjusted there.

Thanks Bebi !! Those are the kinda things I was looking for. I had seen the last 2 - I see I even replied on one of them ! They will be great to pass along.

I have figured out most of the settings for the personal page and website, but I am still trying to figure out the the whole points/hits, (etc.) thing (when they happen, what importance are they)!!

A WC tutorial would be nice, wouldn't it.  I may need to bug Island Dog.  He's pretty good with that kind of thing.

- how to work watchlists
There are watchlists in the WC Gallery and the Forums
In the Galelry you have Artists (friends) or skins
In the forums you watch Posts.
In the articles, you watch . . . . Articles. 
Watching a skin sends you an email when a comment is added.  There is a link called "Watch this Skin" under the description. Look to the left off the Download button at this skin for an example: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=12288&libid=29
Articles act the same way,  You set those up by clicking "Watch" at the bottom of the article.  I'm watching this one: https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=147693
You can add a friend from their profile page (upper left corner).  From there you can watch (and be notified of anything they do around here.
On the forums you can watch a post by clicking the Tools button at teh top of the post and then "Watch this Post".  Again, you will get an email on update.
You can see what skins and artists I am wathcing by going to my Profile and choosing Favorites.  I can see yours too. (http://zubaz.wincustomize.com/favorites.aspx)
Your forums watchlist is private.  You can see it and manage it by clicking "Watchlist" at the top of the forums. (https://forums.wincustomize.com/?g=watchlist)

- upload personal pics and screenshots
You can update your avatar and desktop here: https://www.wincustomize.com/myaccount.aspx?images . It'll show in yoru profile.
You can upload any images you want here(-ish [enter your WC nick): http://zubaz.wincustomize.com/photos.aspx

- change your settings and profile
- an explanation of "hits", "referrals", and points
I am guessing you are reffering to this page: http://zubaz.wincustomize.com/stats.aspx
Hits are how many times someone has looked at you whatever (or downloaded a skin) (I think)
Referrals is how many external links to you or your skins or articles exist
Points serve no purpose but to rank youself againt anyone else here.  Whatever, ya know?

I have had a fair bit of success figuring out where stuff is and how to work things, but you explained a lot more. I had found places like the subscribers resources, and was mostly wondering if one such place/tutorial/explanation existed for the other topics I touched on. Nevermind Island Dog, I think you just wrote the article !!

Thanks again ! I greatly appreciate your time and effort (and Bebi too), and I will refer back to this often (and send others here too) !! (I'm still puzzled by my "hits" and "referrals" though, since before this post I had nothing for anyone to "hit" upon or to "refer" to !! )
