Dread Lords / Friendly Invasion

I was playing my game DA .72 when I recieved a message that the Dread Lords have arrived to re-take the galaxy. I was playing a small map, however, I can't seem to find the Dread Lords. I have searched the whole galaxy and haven't found them nor seen any sign of their existance.

Also with-in a few turns after that the Dregon Empire who, was all the way up in friendly relaitions, I probrably could have allied with them if I wanted to. Invaded one of my planets, took it over, I was trying to figure out when they declared war when they were invading. After they successfully took over my planet I checked the relations screen to find I was never at war with them and I was still not at war with them, in fact I probrably could still allie with them if I wanted to.

I know I've read simular posts in the past about invasions while not being at war but, up to this point I had not expierenced this. Please Explain if this is supose to happen or hopefully this will be fixed in a later patch.

Thank you by the way for fixing the Fog of War bug, I appreciate this very much.

Sounds like the dreadlords tried to spawn but there were no planets available?
causing your planet to be recognised by the AI as a Dreadlords planet?

Do you have any saved games before the drengin invaded?

Hi!
I've experienced something similar in my current game (DA 1.5x.59).

I've been at war with Drengin and Korath, but United Planets terminated all wars. OFC I was happy, but not for a long. Just a few turns after the cease-fire one of my planets was invaded by several transports from Drengin, without war declaration and with normal relations. However when I put in planet's orbit a simple tiny hull with 1 weapon, invading stopped, despite drengin's troop transports were accompanied by warships. Looks to me that game doesn't check for cease-fire with transports.

In the same time I also got another glitch from Korath. One of their spore ships wanted to land on my planet, and game asked ME if I want to attack.

I had the Dread Lords appear. I immediately sent a transport with 2000 troops and took the planet before they could expand. they had 40 population and killed about 500 of mine before I wiped them out. If you ignore them, they will win.

First of all, no I don't have a saved game before they invaded, auto save way to far in the past, Some of the background to the game the drengin Empire was at war with the Arcean and the Arcean planet revolted to me a few turns later I was hit with the drengin transports.

As for the DreadLords, there were available planets but, I would say only about 10-20 were unihabitable and not colonized.

Sounds like an autopiolate error then - the AI invasion path was not cancelled.

Similar thing to the bug where a ship on autopiolate will still travel beyond its range after a base providing the extra range in the first place is lost.

This bug worked brilliantly in Galciv1 because you could colonise a useless planet as a range base, assign a colony ship to colonise a distant world, destroy the temporary crappy range base and the colony ship would still continue on it's journey to the distant world despite being out of range! (so long as you didn't try to change it's orders that is).
