vStyler: I think you missed Vad_M's point, which is that the real bad guys can readily circumvent any IP-banning that WC would apply to an entire country; therefore, doing such a blanket ban would only hurt legitimate users like Vad_M, who could (if he chose) use an expensive workaround. However, I agree with MySecret--I don't think Frogboy was actually serious about banning all Russian IP addresses: (see the winky smile)

Well, Warreni, I know the entity he is at least partially reffering to.. they had all of Stardock's, Lightstar's, Vad's and MY pay themes posted and are desperately trying to get the word out to everyone here at WC that they do so.. spamming the boards for hours on end etc etc..

Maybe he was kidding, maybe he wasnt. It is a harsh measure I agree but who knows.. all I know is it is a problem and hopefully there is a solution.

The glitches happened to me as well when I was logged it. It must have been a glitch in the system. Bad timing I guest for the other guy.

I had the same experience last week. I emailed support and received a prompt reply, but the problem had fixed itself a shortly before that.

Welllll, I was fence sitting -- I really don't need much from your site, though I own a complete copy of Object desktop & renew faithfully, (...and by the way stardock, I am still waiting for your sales to tell me why I can't download a copy of something I purchased along w/inital subscription... 2 yrs ago CustSupport said they'd investigate & get back to me, but no hurry -- I am the patient type I am ), but payday is Friday and good ol' preser has moved me to buy a sub. to Wincustomize, so he has done some good!

Great site improvements, BTW. Makes me wish I could find more things I could use... but that's another story.

BTW, how do you guys get the quote-box? I have a visual handicap, and it really helps.
I hope you guys can read this, the "preview" option in the advanced editor has black letters on black field. I tried setting the font color to green, but it didn't help...

Thanks, but I'm reading this in Stardock Central, so under "View" there is no "Text size", (unless I'm missing it...wouldn't be the first time  ). I just use nvidia's magnifyer, splitting my desktop to two 21" monitors. When I mouse-wheel, everything grows bigger excepting the "Reply * Quote" in the right corner. Oddly enough, I've never visited the site in Firefox or IE, because I'm lazy and would doubtless have to log-in manually...   .



Thanks, it was only $5 or $8, so I've not really followed-up... and I really like Stardock - with the right skin my PC so much easier to use (I'm legally blind) - I simply figured that the time spent by an employee to track down the problem would be in excess of the value. Having once owned my own business, I can relate to cash flows...  

I might resend the info abt the purchase, but after 1.5 yrs, I frankly don't see the point. I only mentioned it as a point of humor. If anyone took it as a serious indictment I deeply appologize.

That's why it's better to just get ObjectDesktop for $50, it's a way better value. Buying the components separately would easily run over $150.

I purchased stardocks object desktop pack, and I was wanting to download unlimited things but thought I had a limit... well, truth be told, all I needed to do was actually sign into the site and walla! Instant downloading pleasure!
