wincustomize site is acting as if my subscription has expired but I still have several months left

Hey everyone (how's it going? - always take care of the pleasantry's first before starting the topic)

Just this morning, the site is acting as if my wincustomize subscription has expired but it hasn't. I've logged in & out and back in again to see if that would fix the problem but it doesn't.

If I attempt to download something, I'm brought to a download screen with the requisite non-member advertising blitz and the message "*** Get rid of ads! Unlimited downloads! Subscribe today! ***", I'm told that I've download something like 200+mb to date and I have 0mb left available that I can download. The site still allows me to download skins regardless of the afore-mentioned 0mb download left message but the ad's are getting a little annoying and going to the 2nd download screen I can do without. I purchased my 1 year subscription in August so I'm still good for quite some time.

Any ideas on this? I've tried this on 2 different browsers on the same pc and I've also checked this out on another pc and receive the same results.

The only thing I can think of that I've done today that is wincustomize related is ran stardock central and downloaded desktopx & rightclick and downloaded a few desktopx themes from within the stardock central app itself.

Can I live with this problem? Yes
Is this a pain in the derriere? Yes
Have I done something wrong on my end? .... You decide

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Worth asking (andrew would complain if it wasn't answered anyway)

I had this problem the other day. All I did was re-enter my subcription #, re-booted and everything was fine. Still is. Go figure! LOL.

I've tried this using IE6 and I downloaded Flock's browser (just for uploading picks to flickr's website) and both have the same problem. I thought at first it was possibly a spyware problem on my pc (it wasn't, my pc is clean), then after re-imaging a new machine at work with a clean install of winxp I tried it on that machine and I rec'd the same problem so I know it's not related to the machine, it must be site related (or possibly something to do with my wc account info?).

Since other people are reporting the same problem, I know I'm not going crazy (because of this anyways, I have other issues and I can't blame them all this site - but thanks for reading anyways)

Logout.  Delete cache/cookies.  Close browser.  Reboot.  Login to site.  Fixed?

CrerbroJD, not sure if you're asking us if we did that or not, to see if it fixed it. I'll guess you were.
If you go back through this thread Report New WinCustomize Bugs and Other Issues, "andrew" has instructed us in 101 different ways to see if anything helps. The answer is no.
As I've stated previously, everything has been running fine from Feb. 9th to March 6th. This only started today.
Sorry to say, but I'm going to make a safe bet (since this is happening to a lot of people today) that the problem is on the wincustomize end.
I'm only talking for myself, so if "andrew" could look at the problem sometime, I have loads of faith that he'll get to the bottom of it.

Sorry for the ramble. Just trying to convey that I've exausted every known angle (andrews, recent comments) on my end, to fix the problem, with no success.

I'm noticing some weird stuff too. The Gallery page for newest skins is only showing 12 per page and once I did get ads (I guess they're ads?) for premium suites, I usually never see those. I went into my settings and noticed a new checkbox for being notified when there's new activity for my skins...except it will *not* let me check it. Also, the dropbox for skins per page is only showing 8 and 12, though I have mine set at 32 and it's showing 32 per page on regular galleries (except for newest skins).

Edit: things just went totally borked and only saw 8 skins per page and ads galore, and clicking on subscriber resources led me to the subscription info page, so I logged off and logged back in and now everything seems to be working properly. I can finally check that checkbox and it's showing all the skins per page options, though I am still seeing premium packages ads.

Just started seeing ads all over the place this morning.

I'm only seeing them on the site, not on the forums. I wonder if I used 2,225mb of my 500mb limit?

This is being forwarded to NetDev to look into.  It definitely shouldn't be happening.

Yes, I should have mentioned that.
Ads are showing only on the site, for me also.

Thanks, Zoomba.
