Things that we lost

We're still working on some of that.  There's a lot of new features but some features have been lost.

Referrals definitely work, not sure why it's not doing so for you. Will look into that.

Author ranking seems easy here. Not sure what they mean.

I use hotmail also. I received notifications before but not now.
The "Author Ranking" issue that I said is because with the old WC you has the ranking skin, and ranking author right in the Section you was, on the right side. For example you went to Iconpackager section and you saw in the right side the 5 first positions.

Mine Referrals always '0' too..
I am not sure why is that so. Is that referrals from referrals coming in to Wincustomize.com or is the referrals going out from it? If its coming in I am sure I have link some of my skin on here from my own external site. And I have found lots external desktop customize forum and group link my skin from their places.

Any Idea why?

I thought that these options doesn't work on my computer because I use Russian Windows XP and sometimes have problems with opened web pages. Exactly by this reason I decided to make a widget for my own usage which will show me all of lost information and nearly finished this work. But now I see that this is "international" bug...   

So I'll try to test this tool and send it here much quickly.

The ratings don't really work for me, for some reason. Everytime I try to rate something, I popup opens saying, 'Sorry, Something went wrong' .. something like that.

The notifications are spotty at best for me. Sometimes I get 'em all, sometimes a few...and the last 2 to 3 weeks none at all for my gallery or for watched threads.

My only problem with the ratings is that dang 'download' button seems to always get in the way if I mouse over it while trying to rate. The rating window closes before I can rate anything.

I haven't been able to fav or refer anything for a couple weeks also.

I use also Hotmail and I get notification when something happened.
Even when I watch a forum or article, I get an email with a message that there's a new post   

Those referalls work, I think.. 


And everyone should not blame Admins or Mods because they have to search and fix, things and check things out. They have many work to do. I would like to thank them for creating such a wonderful site, where everyone can see and download and even uploaded own creations.

y'all think you got problems....my average skin rating is non-existant...not a zero, not a number of any kind. This reflects a .3% drop from before the site was updated...I'm mad as a hen wetter

Well alot of things just seem to deny to work for me as well. Here are the main bugs:

a. For the Skins page: Inexistant average skin rating, 0 for Today downloads, 0 for total comments, miscalculated Referals, miscalculated Referring Sites.
b. For Stats page: Well a general cleaning is needed in most figures.
c. Skin rating doesn't always work.
d. I'm a bit accustomed now to the "Internet Explorer cannot open site: [Site Address] Operation Aborted" message since it happens at a ration 1:2 times i click a link, especially in the Forum.

My four cents to this.

If a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, would you be able to make change with a hen that was wetter? I mean, provided of course the birds were wet and wet birds are worth anything at all. Of course I realize that hen's are birds, so we may have to define what kinds of birds we have in the bush and in the hand. Unless they are all hens. Then they are all equal in value. Or not.


Didn't they make it illegal to wet hens?

Hey Bandit, don't hens get wet when they are mad? Or do they get mad when they are wet? Maybe they get wetter when they are mad?!

I'm still not sure it's legal. Hen wetting, that is.

Yeah I have the same problem, no email notifications for skin comments

I've never gotten one either.

I only get them for skins approval or rejection.

But i prefer not to get them for comments and stuff. It would be annoying to have a flood of e-mails just for that. A PM center would be much better.

Does the comments work on others there skin?
Not with me I'am afraid. Can they comment my skins telling me what to chance to make better skins?  

Also my bootscreens are downloadable. They download a lot of me, leaving no comment and putting a 1 as skinrating   Not funny   

you should wait one or two day... if they was satisfied by them they will come back to comment them.

Lassen, your profile says your a Citizen with a customer level of Visitor.

You cannot use the rating system. You would need a customer level of apprentice or higher - or a Wincustomize paid subscription.

Skin Referrals appear to be working from what I can see.  Please provide us a url to the skin that is not getting any referrals and to the URL that links to your skin where the referrals are coming from so we can verify the problem.

 

As far as some of the other problems being reported I have entered them into our bug tracker and we will be looking into them as soon as possible.
