Mystery Pink

I have a problem for you mysery solvers. Some time ago i was working on a WB theme that included rounded corners in my start menu and window frames. Through the corse of time i decided to backup my work. After that i upgraded to a newer version of windowblinds and skinstudio. Somehow i developed a corrupt graphic that made the magic pink remain in the corners( only the window frames now). At times i would work on another element of the skin, appley it to my theme and the pink would go away. This has been going on back and forth, pink, no pink. So i decided to back track to see which graphic was giving me the problem and discoverd that it was the StartMenuGroupBack,(go figure) so i thought. I have deleted the theme file from the windowblinds folder, renamed my theme, deleted the folder where i stored my graphics and re-did the theme over from scratch and i still get the magic pink when i appley the StartMenuGroupBack. Do i have ghosts in my machine? Polterguist? Goblins? Who you gona call?

does your area just prior to the magic pink involve anti aliasing?

No. i turn off the anti aliasing. I also have other object on top of that area and made sure the Anti aliasing was turned off.

I went back to check my window frame graphic and discoverd an object that didnot have the anti-aliasing turnd off. This still didnot cure the problem so i went back to my start menu group background and the pesonality background. I used two graphics from another theme i made and the magic pink went away. I don't understand why these graphics would have an effect on my window frames.

I know I've read somewhere - there's 2 things - one has to do with transparency the the other translucency

Go to that skin's folder & delete all the .wb4 & other temp files (the ones with a ~ in the name). Then reload the skin from WBConfig. See if that fixes it. I have this issue all the time when repeatedly editing a skin in SkinStudio - suddenly the magic pink on window borders will start showing after reloading the skin a few times to evaluate changes, but deleting those files & reloading the skin restores normal magic pink transparency.

Thanks Daiwa. That worked so far. The problem only happend when i applyed the Personality back and start menu back. When i applyed them, SS paused longer then normal. Strange.

After doing what you suggested, my shutdown, logoff and please wait graphics disapeard. I replaced them and applyed them to the theme and they were still missing. I restarted my pc and they disapeard again. I reaplyed the graphics once more and they finelly came back but with the magic pink. After setting my font and text color in my please wait dialog, the pink went away. I ran an error check and everything is clean. dispite the in and out of the magic pink when working on this theme, do you think the pink would show up if i zip my theme up for a final distribution?
