Consider the Colonial Fleet.

We are an established empire, just starting to get back into the game. A fondness for Battlestar Galactica of course helps, but is not necessary.

Our new forum is hosted at the Galactic Core.

There's lots of interesting Empires in the Metaverse, I'd look at their descriptions and stats, including the Altmeta2

Welcome and good luck!

If you like a laugh, consider the Hitchhiker's of the Galaxy. Despite being and empire of only two, we have ambition and a sense of humour . It is based on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but the knowledge of what it is is not necessary.

Good luck in your empire-hunting .

interesting

Any details on what might make an empire "interesting" to you?

If the idea of a tiny crew of mildy disreputable GCII old hands and relative Metaverse newbies, you could consider the Empire of Standards. Emporer Wheeloffire is a rather feisty fellow, but he does seem dedicated to the fun of the game even if it isn't always that fun to read him explaining why

From my POV, the Empire of Standards is about comparing goals and tactics amongst players with different interests in GCII, with a secondary goal of building a "respectable" pile of scores from which to hurl mockery at the big empires atop the scoring charts.

I would also suggest reading through the forums both here and over at the core (http://www.thegalacticcore.com) a bit looking for like minded individuals and see what empires they are from. I think you will find that pretty much all the empires have friendly and helpful people.

I, of course, have my preferred empire!

Now where is the requisite Orca post?

Yeah, that's the general gist of it. Now if I could just post a WIN, ahem, maybe our numbers will start to move...
But until then, any meta game I play I'm posting, regardless of a victory or not. Don't worry G.W., our point will be made soon enough.

Well i was looking to join an empire with some fun guys and gals to post with, but didn't want an overly large empire. I looked and some of them are frigging huge!

The new Metaverse Council is dominated by folks from the big empires, but they seem very interested in "driving traffic" to the smaller ones. I think the idea is that more active empires means more Metaverse activity overall; some corrollary of The More The Merrier, I suspect.

If smaller is better for you, there's also the option of starting your own.

As I mentioned, the Hitchhiker's has only 2 members. Is that small enough for you? .

We are am Mod based empire and we currently are trying to mobilize the modding community. We do have a rep on the Council, mostly because we want Mods for the AltMeta(or even the Meta).

Anyways, even if you do decide to join someone else, visit the forums and try out some of the mods. The Hitchhikers one is pretty fun . We arent about score, we are about having a great time with a great game .

Zolion , the decision can be yours alone. Have a look at the forums and read. Choose the Empire that most suits your ambition. The Galactic Core is a great place to start.
I won't say anymore because I am obviously bias towards the Empire I support.

Zolion consider The Ghost Riders Empire. We have a website thats starting to come up. Knowledge of the movie Ghost Rider is not required.
