Ability points

First of all, great game. I just loaded it and have been playing around with the settings and small maps and I just love it so far.

I have noticed that in the Abilities area when I start up new games, I never have any points available to modify my civ. Am I missing some trigger to make those points available?

Just click on "Reset" and all points are going to be put back in to pool, which youcan than use anyway you want.

Thank you! Man, I knew it had to be something simple. I blame my ignorance on being too excited about getting back into the game.

Are the maximum ability points available set at 10 or 30? I could swear that I read something about getting 30 points to distribute in the setup screen but can remember where I read it if at all. Thanks.

10 ability points to spend, but downloading the bonus pak increases the number of different ability CHOICES you have from 10 to 30.
