A little descriptive writing to spice up the hunt...

The story behind it: Apparently someone had a lion as a pet around Gahanna, OH and it got out and is lurking in the forest around the town, so I've decided to write a little dramatic description about it...in first person...
Ah, the grey-eyed morn greets my senses with a sharp chill, and instantly awakens me fully. I crouch low in the brambles searching for pad marks of this fearsome beast. My rifle clasped tighly in my hand is slippery from the morning dew condensating on the warm barrel. I start moving through the low bush, slowly pushing aside low branches and careful not to alert my prey. A bird suddenly calls...I jump and aim in a lightining quick reflex and then come to my senses and realize my mistake. I begin to perspire under the slowly rising sun as my sudden adrenaline rush races my heart to an annoying pace. The blood keeps pulsing in my ears but slowly decreasing as I near a small brook...I see a shape in the mist. Still too vague an image to be sure I cautiously circle downwind...a twig snaps...the figure runs...like a wraith upon the morning fog...nearly silent. I curse under my breath and pursue, quickly, quietly...I manage to catch up to my quarry near the opening of a cave after several hectic minutes. I see it more clearly now...a tawny, huge figure...estimated 350-400lbs. The paws are bigger than some of my dinner plates...the creature ducks into the cave before I can line up the shot...curses. I, determined, move closer to the moist, humid entrance to the cave...I travel for several yards and then hear a low growl...a shadow, barely visible with glowing eyes staring like a horrid demon gazes into my very soul...I line up the rifle and the lion avoids the shot and circles around. I hear claws scraping against the stone...it is ready to lunge. Suddenly, I hear a scuffle, I swing the gun around and.....
Since I don't think this lion has been caught yet...I'll leave ya hanging...hehe(I know I hate it too)...Anyway, that's just a little of my writing skill, not the best I've ever done, but definitely not the worst...so, I hope you enjoy...
~Zoo over and out! (Sorry Capt. just trying it on for size...lol)
