this has happened to me three times

when i press the turn button either click or enter

the game will start to process the turn buy doesn't

you can move around the map and use all screens normally but the turn doesn't process

I have had this happen on rare occasions with both DL 1.4 and DA 1.5. It usually seems to only happen on larger games. Since I still have control of the menus, I'll save and reload. Then continue as normal. I've never actually had it happen twice in the same game.

i tried the save and reload once it didn't work for me i had to reload an earlier save

Is autosave on? I think on the turns the autosave kicks in, it stops processing and you have to do it again.

yes autosave is on but it wasn't being saved on those turns
