Upload problems

Dream Section

Hi,

I'm having upload problems since last wednesday. Tried to use both old link page and new one, and it simply refuses to upload anything.
I'm trying to upload a dream scene (30Mb) on an internet connection with 24Mb down and 640Kb up specs.
I can't even count the number of times I already tried, and I'm beginning on start quiting. I've spent much more time trying to upload the dream than the time I spent on making it.
Another annoying thing, is the fact that I already posted several threads on this, and no one even bothered to reply. I even placed 2 replies in the sticky post made to announce the new upload link...
I'll continue to make dreams, but if this continues, well, I simply won't try to share anything more with this site... With this lack of support, the impression is that they simply don't care about the stuff we upload...

Bye.

It's not a lack of support per se.

The forums are basically set up for users to help other users. The official support channel is via email to support or through putting in a support ticket. This even applies to the 'Stardock Support' channel.

However, people from support do frequent the forums when they have time available.

If nobody has responded then it means none of the users have an idea on what to do to help and somebody from support hasn't seen it.

I did find another post where Draginol asked the OP what kind of problems uploading to which a response still has not posted link

I also saw yours link but I don't have a clue - I don't have Vists - and I'm assuming you're not on dial up.

I know they set up a test page for uploading - looking for feedback - trying to improve the upload process (not sure they were really ready for the traffic due to the size of dreams) - just checked and saw your reply

I don't know how many people are working there at the moment, but it is the weekend and I think most of them get the weekend off.

Since the test upload page is posted by T-Man and I don't see a recent reply by him then I have to guess he's either off for the weekend or working his ass off trying to get it sorted out and is too busy to reply.

While I understand the frustration and even though I have no reason to download any dreams, I suggest you just hang on for a while - it will get sorted eventually

Hi,

No I'm not no dial-up... I said that in my post. I'm on ADSL 2+ (24Mb down and 640Kb up). My connection is working just fine.
The problem continues...

What is the support email? I would mail them, but I don't know the email address...

Thanks for your repply!

Bye.

Submit a ticket (goes to [email protected]) gives a tracking number for later - you'll get an auto response at first - check your spam filters)

possibly.... you using Firefox? Master Baron was using FF - tried IE says all uploads going through Link

Hi again,

Thanks for the email address. No, I'm not using Firefox. I'm using IE7, which comes installed with Vista, the OS I'm running.
Anyway, thanks again for the info!

Bye.
