Download amount problem...

Hi to everyone,

Im a newbie here mates but have a problem. Sign-up today and when try to download some skins information says that 13MB reamaining and 87MB downloaded!? Eh? Where is the problem to da hell? Start downloading for the 1st time so how could I have already downloaded 87Megs?

As I said Im new here so THX for comments and ideas guys.

OK - mean NOT newbie for downloads but before I was NOT registered so how the system could be able to remember how many things I had downloaded mate??? Dont understand it... And one question more - when I fill-up the 100Megs limit whats happen? Mean - I will not be able to download from this site at all? If yes, what has to be done to open this possibility again...

You have been registered since 2005, so it's your downloads since then.  Regardless of that, once you get to a limit you will be prompted to subscribe to Wincustomize, but you still should be able to download.

I strongly encourage anyone who downloads on a regular basis to subscribe to WinCustomize.  It helps to support the site.

Interesting idea but still not truth mate. I have new registration from today, live in another town and have new PC and IP adress so its IMPOSSIBLE to be registered from 2005 for me, so ... TRUST ME, Im NOT a liar!

JayM, click on your name under your posts and it will take you to your profile. I looked at it and it says that you have been a member since 2005. The database will track the amount you've downloaded since you've had your account. Your customer level says visitor so that tells me that you haven't purchased or registered a Stardock product or a Wincustomize subscription. Once you do either one of those two things the sky is the limit as far as downloads. At least until you subscription runs out...This is my understanding of the way things are, I hope it helps.

Someone straighten me out if I'm wrong!

Are you saying you filled out all the information as a new account and made a new user name ? Or is janmatys the same name you had before ?

So you have been downloading?

What you are saying is confusing and contradictory. You either have been downloading or you haven't. You are either registered or you aren't.

If you believe you have a genuine problem with your registration details then contact [email protected]. 

The only way to get unlimited downloads is to purchase a product or purchase a WinCustomize subscription. That's something to consider

Why are people helping to get around the download cap?


I didnt think anyone did - I would never tell how to get around download cap if I even knew a way...

But what he says makes no sense at all. Im just going with the extreme possibility that the site messed up if he actually made a new account.
( highly unlikely as it is )

$20 bucks buys you outta this little dilemma - subscription....

When you reach the limit, you can't download anything else. The limit does not reset or get lifted, and the only way to get unlimited downloads is to either purchase a Stardock product or get a Wincustomize subscription.

The only thing that lets you download after you have reached the cap is subscribing.
If you have downloaded so much stuff that you have hit the cap it is safe to say you like the site and want to support it, yes?

Pace what you upload.  Take you time and listen to feedback.  Posting all 300 of your Britney renders won't do anyone any good.

So eventho i created new account (like this but different email, different IP) but still WinCustomize recognizes me as old user? I got like 500kb left but i just created this account yesterday!! (i have another account too)
