DesktopX Crashing on Create Script

Even a simple action fails.

Create, New Object, New Script...

It crashes.

Tried uninstalling DesktopX then reinstalling but no luck.

Version = 3.20.044

I'm a full Object Desktop Subscriber.

Can anyone help?

I'm running that version.
I just ran DTX, went into builder mode, created a new object - added a script (I used the one RomanDA posted on #12 here.

Since I barely have a clue - I copied that one and pasted it over whatever that is that's in object edit when you open it. It worked, no crashing.

You have any script blocking on?
Try a scripten5.6 reinstall?

That tutorial went fine until I tried to create a script, every other function seems to be working fine.

"You have any script blocking on?"
"Try a scripten5.6 reinstall?"

I'm sorry I don't understand.

The only problem is scripting, I can't even open one.

have you try to deleted the desktopX cache?
save your work, quit dx, erase all in this folder, and reload
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme

Some antivirus software has 'script blocking' - like Norton - but if downloaded widgets with script run, then that's probably not it.

try downloading and running: Windows Script 5.6

I, Wizop Zubaz, grant both of you 10 Frogbucks as reward for your attempts to help.
Unfortunatly, you can only spend your Frogbucks buying my free OB.  So very sorry!

No joy I'm afraid guys, thanks for the help but no cigar (yet).

Most puzzling.

Virus Scanner - no, fails when suspended.

Not cache - cleared all.
