Paper tape? Toggle switches? New-fangled stuff! Plug boards!!! Cassette tape?? At least it didn't get out of order like punched & mark sense cards (although it did stretch also sounded weird through an ordinary tape deck). A quiz, how many different punch cards stock sizes have people used? I have used 2. 80 column & 45 (I think, memory is getting buggy) was on old IBM System/3. Another quiz, with a PDP-8/S, what did the 'S' stand for? LOL

32 and a half.
Started playing on arcade machines with 12 and got my C64 with 16. I'll never forget Pirates! and still hope for a real sequell (Seadogs II ??)

I waited rather late in life to buy a computer. I guess I was just waiting for Gal Civ to come out when I bought my first computer back about the time this game came out for OS/2 2.0. Wow! What a great game to go with a great operating system.

I'm glad they ported it to such an inferior operating system as Microsoft. :)

I'm 24 and I've been throught the Spectrum, the Commodore 64 and the Amiga before PC. :D And strangely enought this game was fun ( althought its simplistic look) Love those events and diplomacy! :)
