Dread Lord Bug?

Just when I thought I crushed them after eliminating most of their frigates and attacking their planet with many fleets, they have a single Dreadnaught in orbit with 113 hit points. I wear it down to a single hit point but thats as far is it got. Any further attackes result in defeat with the dreadnaught remaining with 1 hit point. Very frustrating indeed.

What kind of ships (hull size and stats) are you attacking it with, and what are the dreadnought's attack and defense stats?

I attack it in fleets of 4-5 ships (mixed medium and large hulls). Collective 130 offensive points, 0 defensive. The dreadnought has 1300+ attack, 0 defense and 113 initial hit point. It took me 2 fleets to get it down to 1 hit point but then as I threw more and more fleets at it with same stats (5 fleets at least) it just keeps crushing them while remaining with 1 hit point. Doesn't make sense.

BTW: I can destroy weaker dread lord frigates (23-28 hp) without problems usually with a single fleet.

AFAIK, if two fleets mutually destroy each other, the strongest of the last ships on each side survives with one HP. So in order to beat the Dreadnought, you will need to build a fleet capable of withstanding a single round with it without being totally destroyed. So lots of ships with almost all defense and just one weapon each should do the trick.
