Dreamscene/deskscapes - i just found out how to make sound

il tell u how to make it

Hi everyone i accidentally found out how to get sound from dreamscene videos or .dream format (if u have one with sound).

1. just set any mpg/wmv video as wallpaper or u can convert it to .dream and set it.
2. open ur volume mixer and unmute dreamscene in there    isnt that easy?... lol

Enjoy!

wow ............ doh.. why didn't i think of that - it works great ..i got sound !!! now ......... i had posted asking them what about sound can we add that to a dream and got No reply ...well now i know - they should post this for all to read !! ...also a little extra tid-bit while on your desktop you have sound but when you open a program or open up your browser it auto mutes itself - close that stuff down and the sound comes back on ,, this is a good thing , thanks for the tip !

one other tip .. you can dump all the mpeg video ( any length doesn't matter ) as an mpeg right into the Dream Folder - click on one and it plays just like a Dream file on your desktop complete with the sound if you want - - doesn't have to be a .dream
sooooooo just add some mpegs with your Dreams and have allot more variety of animated walls !!! I've added several and they all work great and the Quality is as good as the mpegs quality is !

Thanks a lot for answering this question for me. It's been stuck in the back of my head for the longest time now, but for some reason I never bothered to test it, thinking that it was pointless. I honestly did not expect the Dream to mute when audio from another source came through, so I was a bit hesitant to even bother unmuting some of these videos. Another plus for the awesome DreamScene!!

Well it appears that my conclusions were incorrect to a certain degree. I went and tested Dreamscene with a video that has sound on it, and to my dismay it doesnt work quite like I had first concluded.

To sum it up, the video will pause (effectively muting it) whenever a fullscreen window or program opens up. So if you were to open up a maximized internet browser then the pretty sound in the background is effectively muted. My assertion that it would pause only when a fullscreen program would execute or another sound source would initiate was incorrect, sorry if this mislead anyone.

Hmm I have just installed Dreams (which is now available to all windows vista users) only to find I don't have volume control available to me for the wallpapers. Any Ideas? Thanks,
