I Can't Even Get GalCiv2 to Install On Vista....HELP!!!

I just got a new system with Windows Vista Home Edition installed. I want to install GalCiv2 on it. I can't even get the system to start the installation when I put the first install disk in. When I insert the first install disk I get an error saying that it cannot read the .exe file. I see the GalCiv2 logo, but I can't do anything. I tried loading it on my other machine with XP just to be sure that the disk wasn't damaged. It installed fine. Is there anything I can try to make this install on Vista? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time! I really need to play this game soon. I think I want to purchase Dark Avatar too. I just need to make this install first.

If the launcher fails for some reason, you can try looking at the disc in explorer and running setup.exe directly.

I did try double-clicking on the setup.exe file but it just hung there doing nothing.

I am told that vista will want to examine the entire installation file before running, so while the launcher will not work, running setup directly should do the trick it you give it a while to work.

Thanks for your replies! I will try running setup.exe again and give it time to run. I believe I did stop it when it seemed to get hung up. I'll get back to you when I get a chance to try it.
