Posting all over everywhere doesn't help and doesn't engender help.

One problem=one post.

Just cleaned the house a bit...

AzDude, please try to keep the other threads on topic as much as possible.  One problem, one post, as Zubaz said. Thanks!

im running the other DeskScapes all of them in fact and they all work perfect on my puter with no problems - sooooooooooo why does DreamMaker NOT work for me - instead of an answer to my problem - I get Zoomba telling me not to spam the forum with these help request - I pay BIG money here to have all your programs - now it's time for you to back them up , please !!!!!!!!!!!!

You paid nothing for DreamMaker or DeskScapes.  Your entire "report" consisted of you telling us it crashes. What would you have us say "Oh, you need to run it with the -dontcrashonazdude parameter"?

I don't have an answer for you. But it's been added to the list of things to look at.

Azdude, the CEO of stardock has noted your problem, and you've been asked not to repeat the problem report all over the forums.

I'm going to get rid of the duplicate posts so you can focus on one and it won't get lost.

You're welcome!

AzDude - 32bit OS? 64bit? Make sure DreamMaker.exe and DreamControl.dll are in the same folder and make sure the "run in" folder is correct.

Lemmie know

Ah sorry just read there. 64bit. I wonder if that has anything to do with it ; there's always the chance of some little incompatibility with 64 in the dreammaker that we'd have to work out. Will look in on that first thing tomorrow.

I'm sorry for any wrong posting on my part and i do pay big money for all the other stardock programs all that aside - I thought my post explained the problem well DreamMaker program gives me the error mess when i try to make a .dream file - i'm just trying to find out the anwser to my problem - not recieve allot of grief for posting it - DreamScape is only 2 days old i didn't know which forum to post this problem so i spread it around - and it did get noticed - so now may be we can fiquer a fix - all Stardock had to say is were working on your problem and will get back to you , instead of the hardnosed posts your giving me - anyway LOOKS like JMBdev is working on it so thats great hope he can help ........

I'm also receiving some assistance from Mike/milksama ( Stardock) [#DWR-462429]: Dream Maker problem maybe check with him ??? sent him some screenshots of error message and PC specs. I tried both submitting mpeg and wmv files and both were rejected by DreamMaker - running Vista Ultimate of course on a 64bit windows system - does DreamMaker not work on 64bit ??? Vista ??? when i play those videos as mpegs on my desktop as a Dream ( by loading a straight mpeg right into the dream folder ) they work just find nice and smooth --- so the problem has to lie with DreamMaker and not the files i'm trying to use with it - i would think ????

Hi AzDude,

No news on it ; it worked fine on the 64bit machines that I tested. This week I'm doing some work on the DreamMaker program however so I thought I'd hold off til I can get out a new release and see how that one goes.

Problem Fixed - - It appears that my dreammaker problem has been fixed - I copied the dreamControl.dll in the Deskscapes folder to the Dreammaker folder and overwrote the file and now i have made 2 .dream files without error messages - so thats the fix !

Hi not sure if it is the same but I run Vista x64 and my dreammaker would fail to create dreams with what looked like a .dot error.

I copied the dreamControl.dll in the Deskscapes folder to the Dreammaker folder and overwrote the file in there as it was smaller and it works ok for me now ??

not sure if its the same prob but may be worth looking at.
