Registration Trouble

Ok, recently I decided I wanted the 1.4X "update" or "patch" or something like that for my GalCiv2DL game. So I tried logging into the metaverse, eventually going to this weird Stardock site to make an account. Took a really long time, but I eventually got over it. Then I found out I had to download this "Stardock Central" thingy in order to get the updates, and wasn't very happy about it, but i went along with it anyway. After installing the program and booting it up the first time, I found I had to give my email again for I think the fifth time that night, as well as the registration number. I didnt have the number handy, so I just put in my email and went on, but the program, of course, didn't work. So after getting the registration number, I tried the program again. The program then promted me to only put in my registration number, the email part was gone. I put in the number, clicked ok, and now I keep getting this message that says my "email does not match the records",and says that if I have changed my email that I need to contact stardock sales or stardock support with the old and new address. After I cancel this, the updats list comes up, and I hit "ok" to get them, but it says my registration is invalid, and to check the Register Products dialogue to reconfim everything. I sent two emails to stardock support, and both times I got back:

The following address had fatal errors:

This error indicates that the serial you attempted to use has already been registered by someone else. You will not be able to register the game unless you can resolve this.

There may have been a connectivity issue with your mail or there may be an issue with your mail provider--support certainly wouldn't reject your email out of malice. I would suggest attempting to contact [email protected] again, preferably from a different address if you have one. Barring that, during business hours, go to the Chat section in Stardock Central, click the Connect button, and page the channel operators (type the names of the people with @ by them). Alternately if you already have an IRC client, just connect to irc.stardock.com and join #stardock.

And to resolve the problem, I need to go to Register Products Dialouge to figure this out, so can someone please answer my two questions?

The register products dialog is found in tools menu->register products in SDC. However, as I said if the serial has been registered already by someone else, you'll just get a similar error there. You will need to contact support to resolve the problem.
